Dr. Shapiro to Address Suffering Women on Radio Show

On July 29, 2009 the The Martha Trowbridge Radio Hour announced that EMDR origionator, Dr. Francine Shapiro, will be a guest on their show in September.  The show boasts “soothing inspiration for suffering women”:

“Today’s women endure unprecedented stressors. An alarming percentage have experienced relational or random violence; an equally alarming percentage continue to suffer the ravages of childhood emotional, mental and/or sexual abuse. Adding to their anguish, many mothers have children in serious trouble….The Martha Trowbridge Radio Hour has as its mission the alleviation of emotional and mental suffering in women via empathic, validating, inspirational, informative programming. ”

Dr. Shapiro will discuss the origins and causes of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, introduce listeners to EMDR, and explain how EMDR can help those suffering from PTSD.
